New Latitude: open innovation programmes to address the challenges of the maritime and port sector

Open innovation programmes are establishing themselves as the model capable of solving specific challenges in the maritime and port sector. New Latitude — presented by the Port of Barcelona, BlueTechPort, the BCN Port Innovation Foundation and Lloyd's Register (Safetytech Accelerator) at 4YFN during MWC 2026 — seeks cross-cutting alliances, pilots in three strategic areas, and the engagement of corporates and startups to accelerate the resolution of these challenges.
